1. Online Store Terms and Conditions

1.1.1 Free Delivery: Orders over R1,000 qualify for free delivery.
1.1.2 Flat Fee Delivery: A flat delivery fee will apply to orders under R1,000.
1.1.3 Dispatch Times:
- Ready-made products: Dispatched within 24–48 hours, followed by standard courier delivery times.
- Custom-made products: Manufactured within 10–14 working days and dispatched thereafter.
1.1.4 Delivery Areas: We deliver nationwide in South Africa. Delivery times may vary based on your location.
1.1.5 Tracking: Tracking information will be provided once your order is dispatched.
1.2 Return and Refund Policy
1.2.1 Definition of Custom-Made Products:
- Custom-made products refer to any products made to size or tailored to specific customer measurements or specifications.
1.2.2 Returns on Ready-Made Products:
- Accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the product is in its original packaging and unopened.
- Returns must be initiated by contacting our customer service team at [email protected].
1.2.3 No Returns on Custom-Made Products:
- Due to the bespoke nature of custom-made products, these are non-refundable unless defective, as outlined in the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.
1.2.4 CPA Returns:
- Returns for ready-made products under the CPA will only be processed for items that are defective, not as described, or do not meet the intended purpose.
- Custom-made products are exempt from CPA returns as they are manufactured to customer specifications and cannot be resold.
1.2.5 Return Shipping Costs:
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or incorrect.
1.2.6 Refunds:
- Refunds will be processed within 5–10 working days upon approval.
- Refunds will be made to the original payment method.
1.2.7 Refund Process:
- Refunds for defective or incorrectly supplied products will include the cost of return shipping where applicable.
- Refund approvals will follow an inspection process to confirm the product’s condition.
- Customers will be notified of the outcome within 7 business days of receiving the returned product.
1.3 Order Amendments
1.3.1 No changes or cancellations are permitted once production of custom-made products has started.
1.4 Measurements and Responsibility
1.4.1 Customers are solely responsible for providing accurate measurements for custom-made products.
1.4.2 No guarantees or refunds will be provided for errors in measurements provided by the customer.
1.5 Accuracy of Online Orders
1.5.1 Customers must double-check their selections, including measurements, product specifications, and delivery details, before confirming their order.
1.5.2 The Decor Connection is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.
2. In-Home Service Terms and Conditions
2.1 Deposit and Payment
2.1.1 A 75% deposit is required to confirm your order.
2.1.2 The remaining 25% balance is due upon installation.
2.2 Manufacturing and Installation Timelines
2.2.1 Manufacturing time is 10–15 business days.
2.2.2 Installation will be scheduled once manufacturing is complete.
2.3 Quotation Terms
2.3.1 Quotations are valid for 15 days from the date of issue.
2.3.2 Quotations are formulated using multiple pricing structures. We reserve the right to vary these at our discretion.
2.4 Important Information
2.4.1 Skew windows may increase light gaps.
2.4.2 All corner blinds will have a visible gap.
2.4.3 Drilling into tiles is undertaken at the customer’s risk.
2.5 Customer Responsibility During Installation
2.5.1 If the customer is not present during the scheduled installation, a separate call-out fee will be charged for rescheduling.
2.6 Access to Premises
2.6.1 Customers must ensure clear access to the installation site, including removing obstacles and securing pets or children for safety.
2.6.2 Additional charges may apply if access is restricted, resulting in delays or rescheduling.
2.7 Unforeseen Installation Challenges
2.7.1 Additional costs may arise if unforeseen structural or environmental issues are encountered during installation (e.g., wall instability, electrical wiring in drilling areas).
2.8 Measurement Accuracy
2.8.1 Our team is responsible for taking accurate measurements during in-home consultations.
2.8.2 Any issues arising from measurement errors made by our team will be rectified at no additional cost to the customer.
3. General Company Terms and Conditions
3.1 Payment Options
3.1.1 Accepted payment methods include:
- Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard.
- EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
- PayFast: Secure online payment gateway (specific to the Online Store).
3.1.2 All payment transactions are encrypted and processed securely.
3.2 Warranty
3.2.1 A 3-year warranty is provided against manufacturing defects.
3.2.2 The warranty does not cover:
- Improper installation in the case of Online Store purchases.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or environmental factors outside our control.
3.3 Governing Law
3.3.1 All services are governed by the laws of South Africa.
3.3.2 All terms align with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
